My name is Simon Hudson, as indicated on the website. My passion for astrophotography was sparked many years ago when I received a telescope as a birthday gift . Once I learned that celestial objects could be photographed through the telescope, I was excited and eager to pursue this new hobby further.
I invested in additional equipment over the years to refine my photographic techniques and achieve higher quality images. My work has been featured in various publications, including magazines, books, newspapers and even an album cover.
Initially based in London, the light pollution proved challenging for night sky photography. However, relocating to Cornwall 2 years into my astrophotography endeavours opened up clearer dark skies. Here I embraced landscape astrophotography, merging night skies with terrestrial surroundings. A particular highlight was capturing St. Michaels Mount under the Milky Way, which was selected as NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day and gained additional media coverage.
Through gradual refinement of my skills over time, I have now reached a point where I feel ready to offer my photography in the form of fine art prints, which led me to create this website gallery. I sincerely hope my passion for capturing the beauty of the cosmos and natural landscapes shines through in these fine art images, which I deeply enjoy sharing with others.
